I'm intrigued by your focus on female writing on aesthetics, or aesthetic pursuits; that's a fascinating topic. I had a friend in DC who was a painter -- she somehow got a gig at the National Gallery painting imitations of the masters, largely as a tourist attraction but tons of fun for her. She wrote a great paper on Emily Dickinson's ekphrastic (is that spelled right?) poems - neat stuff!
